Taco Tuesday on Amelia Island

Amelia Island is well known for our food scene. Our historic town boasts many fantastic restaurants from fine dining to casual spots to pick up a quick bite. And the views? Amazing! Whether you’re dining downtown or eating seaside.

We at the Breakwater Hotel at the Beach are big fans of Taco Tuesday and wanted to share with our guests our favorite spots to grab some delicious tacos around the island.

PABLOS MEXICAN CUISINE – 12 N 2nd St. Fernandina Beach, FL
Offering traditional Mexican recipes and some great margaritas, Pablos is a great spot for family dining or date night downtown.

What we recommend: Chile Relleno or Avocado Loco, both equally delicious! Pair either of these with a Fernandina Beach Margarita, a Pablo’s original creation, and homemade flan for dessert! Visit their site for their full menu>>

CANTINA LOUIE –  960062 Gateway Blvd Fernandina Beach, FL

Fun, laid back and affordable Mexican Cantina serving authentic Mexican street food, tacos, some, tostadas and tortas. A choose from creative mix of a la carte specialty traditional and tacos including surf & turf, mahi mahi or ceviche. Enjoy daily drink specials of Mexican beers, Sangria, Margaritas and more!

What we recommend: Taco Fries or Shrimp Ceviche to start, Ceviche or Hot Surfer Chic specialty tacos and a Margarita Louie. Visit their site for their full menu>>

PEPPER’S COCINA MEXICANA & TEQUILA BAR – 530 Centre St. Fernandina Beach, FL
Whether you have a large party or just looking for a spot for two, Pepper’s is the place to gather for a wide variety of Mexican food made with the finest ingredients and fresh homemade sauces. Specialties include tamales, tacos, fajitas and enchiladas.

What we recommend: Molcajete, delicious steak, chicken shrimp with ranchera sauce served in a sizzling lava rock with rice beans and traditional bandera. Best when shared. Pair with a margarita or mojito. Visit their site for their full menu>>
